Sending a notice
Write to the agent below. Your notice needs to identify the work you hold the rights to, give the share link you are complaining about, state that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, state that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the rights holder, and carry your signature.
A notice missing any of these may not be actionable, and we will say so rather than acting on it silently.
What we do with it
Because files here are addressed by the hash of their contents, removing content removes every copy of it at once, across every account that uploaded it, and stops it being uploaded again. That is deliberate, and it is also why we read notices properly rather than acting on them automatically.
We tell the person who uploaded the file that it was removed, and why.
Counter-notice
If your file was removed and you believe that was wrong, write to the same address with the file, why you believe it was removed in error, and your contact details. We will pass it to the complainant.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material are closed.
